In order to help parents of Sixth Form students keep up to date with work and life at Lady Manners School Sixth Form, the information available below may be useful.

Absence from School

If a Sixth Form student is unwell and unable to attend school please let us know at the start of each day of absence, either by Class Charts or telephone:

  • Class Charts, using the Absences tab. A guide to reporting absences on Class Charts is available here.
  • Telephone 01629 812671 (option 2) letting us know the student’s name, form and reason for absence.

If a student needs to attend a medical/hospital appointment during school hours, the request can be made by:

On the day of their appointment, students must sign out  using the sheets located in the Sixth Form ICT Suite.

UCAS The UCAS website contains useful information for parents, including a downloadable booklet for parents.
NCS The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government-backed programme for Year 11 and 12 students, which takes place outside of term-time. Through a variety of physical, personal and creative challenges, young people learn leadership, communication skills and team work. The programme culminates in a community project, designed and delivered by young people in their local area. Click the link to find out more.
