We are very excited to offer this new opportunity to lead a year group of students as they begin their secondary school life at Lady Manners School.

We are looking for an ambitious, committed and caring professional to join our vibrant and strong Pastoral Team, who strives to shape lives and have a positive impact on young people’s lives.

You will lead the pastoral support for Year 7 to promote and sustain student progress, well-being, behaviour and attendance. You will work closely with the Assistant Headteacher to provide comprehensive pastoral care and to tackle any areas of concern.

Duties will include being the main point of contact for support and guidance for students, parents, carers and staff, keeping accurate and detailed records, leading the team of Form Tutors, ensuring a thorough transition process from Year 6 to Year 7, attending safeguarding meetings, analysing attendance data, analysing behaviour information and arranging appropriate interventions, and liaising with outside support agencies to ensure effective support for individual students.

You should have experience of working with young people and knowledge of the pupil premium grant and how this can be used to support students. You should be able to work calmly under pressure and have emotional resilience in dealing with challenging issues.

Actual Salary £23,017 to £24,694 per annum.

This established role is to ensure that the ICT Infrastructure is managed efficiently and effectively to support teaching and learning and administrative systems. You will be responsible for the IT Technical Team, Reprographics and a significant budget.. You will develop and support system recovery processes and ensure the security of all data on the network.  You will advise the senior leadership team and plan and implement future developments to the ICT infrastructure.

You should have experience managing and maintaining all aspects of an ICT network infrastructure, extensive knowledge of current computer operating systems and network protocols and an ability to lead a team of people.

The successful applicant will provide effective support for students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in mainstream classes, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to contribute to the progress of the students. You should have experience of working with and supporting children/young people, ideally in a secondary school. Familiarity with a range of learning difficulties and the techniques and methods which engage and support students is essential. A relevant Level 3 qualification would be advantageous. Actual Salary £14,656 to £15,984.

PTFA Vacancies

Lady Manners School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) currently has the following vacancies. All vacancies are voluntary roles and provide a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the educational experience your child will enjoy. There are many different roles and ways to support the school which require as little or as much time as you can give. Alternatively there are other ways to support the school by donating funds or prizes which will help with fundraising for the development of resources and facilities available to all students at Lady Manners School.

We are looking for a Secretary to join the existing committee members. The role involves planning agendas and taking notes at meetings which take place 3 to 6 times per year. It can be combined with the role of PTFA administrator.

If you like dealing with email correspondence, we have the perfect role for you. We need someone to check the emails to the PTFA account on a regular basis and respond or forward to the relevant person as needed.

Enthusiasm and communication skills are needed to co-ordinate the willing number of volunteers. The register needs to be kept up to date with current contact details and availability. Rotas are needed for some events.

We are looking for someone to complete and co-ordinate the applications for grants and awards that might be available. Ideas to attract funding would also be very helpful.

This role needs someone to support the Chair and to deputise for them in their absence. It will involve attending meetings 3 to 6 times per year as well as attending some of the events to help promote the work of the PTFA.
