On 7 November, a group of Year 12 physics students from Lady Manners School took part in the World Wide Data Day 2023. This is an international event that allows students to analyse real data taken from the large hadron collider in Geneva and then share their findings. All the students really enjoyed the event and were hopefully inspired to consider particle physics as a future career path. The photograph shows our physics students hard at work analysing the trajectories of muon particles produced by the collision of proton beams in the large hadron collider.
