Recently, 60 Year 10 Physics students took part in a fantastic space physics masterclass delivered by the National Space Academy on the theme of asteroids. The session, which included demonstrations of whoosh rockets and analysis of the recent NASA DART mission, culminated in students making and firing their own oxygen and hydrogen fuelled mini rocket. Students also had the opportunity of seeing and trying on an astronaut’s helmet and pressure suit that had been worn in space.
