There are more than 230 Year 6 students looking forward to joining Lady Manners School in September – and we are really looking forward to meeting them!
While the traditional visits to school in preparation for their move are not possible this year, we are involving them in a host of online activities and one to one contacts where necessary. We have taken the opportunity to make best use of a wide range of technology to help our newest students feel a part of our school before they even set foot on the school site.
Each Year 6 student has been sent a workbook containing activities to keep them busy and to give them a taste of the subjects they will study from September. Activities range from word searches to drawing projects, and from number puzzles to science investigations.
A special page on our school virtual learning environment, Myvle, have been created to which only our new Year 7 students have access so that they can see school maps, read about life at Lady Manners School and ask questions of the Head of Year 7. Videos are being added to this page to introduce them to our Senior Leadership Team, and the Year 7 Form Tutors. There are even 360 degree interactive school tours to help familiarise them with our school before they arrive.
There is more being added to the Myvle page for Year 6 eyes only, and further information is always available to those who are not part of that select group on this website.
