Following on from record A Level results for Year 13, GCSE results this year show that Year 11 students have performed well at Lady Manners School.
46 students achieved at least seven full GCSEs at grade 7 or better (equivalent to the old grades A and A*). Within this group, 11 students actually gained the very highest grade possible (the grade 9) in at least five of their qualifications – a very impressive achievement.
This year, 80% of all Year 11 students attained a grade 4 (equivalent to the old grade C) or better in both English and maths. This is a full 5 percentage points higher than the previous year. The percentage for a 'strong pass' (grades 9-5) in both English and maths has also risen this year (by 12%) to 58%.
For the grades overall, across all subjects, 83% of results were in the ‘good’ range of 9-4.
Headteacher Mr Meikle has said that "Students and staff have worked hard and their successes are well deserved. Due to their efforts lots of students have made good progress and attained well. There are many very strong individual achievements once again".
