On Wednesday, our School Librarian, accompanied five enthusiastic readers and their trusty Peacock Mascot to the finals of the National Reading Champions Quiz, held near Marble Arch in London.

Having won their regional heat in March, the students dedicated significant time to reading and completing the tasks set by the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society.  Competing against 24 other schools from across the United Kingdom, our team achieved an impressive 10th place.

In recognition of their efforts, they were also awarded a Highly Commended Prize for their outstanding work on the theme of AI and Reading.

We are all very proud of the students for reaching the finals and would like to thank The National Literacy Trust and ALCS for a fantastic day and for the wonderful prizes of Books and Book tokens for the school Library.
