Lady Manners School qualified to represent the Derbyshire Dales in three of the four age groups at the County Sports Hall Athletics Championships at Alfreton Leisure Centre last week.
Hundreds of talented students attended from schools all over Derbyshire to compete for the county titles.
The event was one of the highest attended for many years and each age group competed against some extremely strong athletes.
Lady Manners School took first place in all three age groups, Year 7 girls, Year 7 boys and Year 8 girls. Every athlete we took to the Championships came home with a gold medal and the title of ‘best team in Derbyshire’! We are so proud of them!
The students’ talents were recognised by the organisers and members of staff from other schools – a fantastic accolade. A great start to what looks like being a fabulous summer athletics season. Well done!
