I work full-time for the University of the Built Environment as Director of Digital Learning and Engagement. I am responsible for the adoption of leading-edge learning technologies, as well as supporting the innovation, design, and delivery of award-bearing, accredited, fully online programmes of study. I also oversee the academic support and engagement of online students.

I have a strong passion for digital pedagogy, open access to education, and lifelong learning for all, particularly in reaching students who are traditionally hard to reach. As an advocate for innovation in education, I support the modernisation of teaching, learning, and assessment, and more recently researching the development of sustainable education models.

As part of my work at the University of the Built Environment, I also contribute to organisations such as Jisc, GuildHE, and the King’s Foundation by sharing knowledge and insight on a range of topics, including learning technologies, digital pedagogy, and distance education.

In my role as a co-opted governor, I am keen to contribute to the continued success of the school, ensuring that Lady Manners remains a creative, inclusive, and enjoyable environment in which young people can thrive and achieve.
