Year 12 geographers spent two days in Merseyside investigating Changing Places and Coastal Landscapes. The first day was spent investigating how regeneration is helping to rebrand Liverpool. Students particularly enjoyed their experience getting familiar with the central shopping districts of ‘Liverpool One’ and the leisure provision at Albert Docks.

On the second day, they explored the coastal erosion at Formby and conducted fieldwork investigating vegetation succession at the Ainsdale dunes. A big thank you once again for the accommodation and wonderful full breakfast provided by YHA Albert Docks – and to the students, for their good company.
