Our Farming Club has welcomed visitors to the group during the past week.
On Monday, Chloe Redfearn from the Farming Life Centre and Agronomist, Charlotte Allen, visited the group. Charlotte shared her experience and knowledge of agronomy with students. It was fascinating to see how learning in science links with the farming profession and how important healthy soil is. Charlotte answered students’ technical questions and was also able to give them more information about the wide range of careers open to them.
On Thursday, our school nurses visited to talk about rural health and to let students know about the health services available to them in the area. It gave students an excellent opportunity to ask questions and find out more about vital community services.
