Last year, students from the EcoCouncil planted wildflower plugs and sowed wildflower seed in the Lennard Wetland to try and improve the biodiversity of the site. As you can see from the picture, this has been a success. We already have red and white campion flowering and soon they will be joined by yellow yarrow oxeye daisies and vetch. This summer, the students are going to be planting more wildflowers to turn the area into a wildflower meadow.
