On Friday 14 November, Dr Ed Griffen of Macclesfield based drug discovery company, Medchemica Ltd, gave a talk to the Year 12 and Year 13 Science students on drug discovery, his career in drug discovery and challenges for the future. The students learnt about the science and process of discovering a new medicine and working in multidisciplinary teams across the world. The students also had an opportunity to ask Dr Griffen questions, and a number took this opportunity asking thoughtful questions about the science and future careers in drug discovery.
