Lady Manners School students took part in the KS4 Debating House Competition 2026. Students from Years 10 and Year 11 debated two questions: whether parents are wholly responsible for their children and if it is too late for humanity.
The Rotary Club came into school and judged the students on the quality of their research, their debating skills, and ability to work as a team. Glossop were the winners, narrowly beating Barker by one point!
The prize for best speaker was awarded to Adam of Taylor.
Congratulations to all students for taking part, and a special thank you to the Rotary Club Bakewell for judging the event and awarding trophies and prizes to the winners.
