How is career learning delivered, accessed and the impact measured in school?

The careers programme is delivered via the Personal Development Curriculum Area in school and through outside support.  Students in Year 9 upwards have access to Morrisby to track their career progress.  The school uses Compass+ to measure the careers provision against the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Education and training provider access to Lady Manners School students

Education and Training Providers will be invited to appropriate school based careers events and a list of such events, together with the school’s access policy, can be found here.

Support for Parents and Carers

We understand that supporting your child to make choices about their career and study pathways can be somewhat daunting, so we hope that this information is helpful.

Morrisby As a school we use Morrisby, an interactive careers guidance platform to help young people understand their aptitudes, interests, and personality for making informed decisions about education and career pathways. All students will be logged into Morrisby during Year 9, and this will enable your child to start mapping out their pathway right the way through to being school leavers. Morrisby helps students make sense of their options, from GCSE choices right through to university courses, apprenticeships, and careers. It’s all about giving them the confidence and direction they need to make informed decisions and feel excited about their future.

Your child can add you to their Morrisby Account so you can see their journey and provide all important guidance too.  Simply ask them to add your name and email to their account which appears on the bottom of their home page when they log in.  You’ll then receive a link so you can access their account.

The following video explains all about the platform, including how to gain parental access:
