This week, Year 10 students have had their very exciting World of Work Week. We welcomed a range of employers to speak to our students about different career pathways. We also welcomed Sheffield and Leeds Universities to talk about different study options at post-18, broadening horizons and sharing opportunities.

All students took part in workshops to understand misogyny and sexual harassment in the workplace. We had various workshops to help students understand the importance of building employability skills and learn how to confidently talk and market themselves to an employer.  They all created their own CV and had a virtual mock interview with an employer.

We’d like to extend our sincere gratitude to the almost 40 employers who supported us over the week. There was a real buzz about our school. Visitors commented on how polite and engaged our students were and were especially complimentary about the thoughtful questions from both year 10 students and the younger students who chose to attend the lunchtime drop-in sessions also.

An all-round successful week for everyone!
