Fantastic achievement at the National Reading Quiz Finals!
On Wednesday 20 May, five students from Years 7 and 9 travelled to London with our Librarian to compete in the Grand Finals of the National Reading Quiz, having won the East Midlands heat in March.
We’re thrilled to announce they were placed sixth nationally, just short of a podium finish!
The students had a wonderful day meeting authors, quizzing, and celebrating their love of reading. We are very proud of their achievement, especially during this National Year of Reading.
A huge thank you to Derbyshire County Councillors, Cllr Hobon and Cllr Sutton, for their generous donation towards our transport costs, which made this trip possible.
