I am currently Deputy Director for Curriculum and Assessment at a South Yorkshire-based Multi Academy Trust. Previously, I worked as a senior- and middle- leader and maths teacher in a number of Sheffield secondary schools. My main experience is in curriculum development, teaching and learning, and staff development, and I feel fortunate to have worked in both individual schools and at trust level.
Before working in education, I spent several years working as a government economist in a range of departments in London. This experience offered insight into public policy-making, analysis and working with a wide range of stakeholders, but I have no regrets in career-changing to teaching.
I live locally with my family, including two young sons. I feel privileged to be able to support Lady Manners School as a governor.
