Congratulations to three of our Year 9 students Matilda, Nora Grace and Olivia who took part in the David Clover Singing Festival at the weekend.

Nora Grace achieved a highly commended for British Song (age 12 – 15), first prize for songs from the shows, films and musicals pre-1960 and first prize for songs with words by Shakespeare (any age).

Olivia won the British Song Class for her age group (12-15) with ‘The Bird’s Lament’, which she will be performing at Ashford and went on to the finals, where she won the Petrie Rose Bowl for the best performance in any of the British Song classes. Olivia also achieved a highly commended for a performance of ‘My House’ from Matilda.

Matilda came second in the Preparatory Recital class (age 12-13) and achieved some lovely comments about how promising her singing is.

Congratulations to all three girls on their success.
