Last week was a busy week for members of our Farming Club.
On Tuesday, Andrew Critchlow NFU County Adviser visited us to talk about careers in farming. Andrew was able to share his wide knowledge and experience with students and inspire them to consider the great number of opportunities open to them in the farming industry. It was a fantastic experience for our students and we are grateful to Andrew for giving us his time.
On Thursday, 41 students attended the annual LAMMA event at the NEC in Birmingham. Students had a great day exploring the exhibition and talking to the professional exhibitors. It gave them a fantastic insight into the opportunities in the farming industry and enabled them to meet farming professionals. They were even fortunate to bump into some celebrities and were delighted when Kelvin Fletcher of Fletchers’ Family Farm agreed to have a group photograph with them. A fabulous day!
