Emily Day, Student Recruitment Officer from Lancaster University, recently came into Lady Manners School to speak to our Year 13 students.  Emily delivered a fantastic and engaging session about making the most of university life.  In collaboration with our pastoral team, Emily knew of the UCAS application timeframe our students were working on, and tailored her speech to fully involve our students regarding the next decisions they would need to be making.  Emily discussed a vast majority of topics, including offers from universities, firm and insurance choices, decisions about accommodation, city vs campus style universities and the wealth of brilliant opportunities, clubs, societies, and sports that await students when they get to university!  Delivered in a very positive and insightful way, our students were able to ask questions at the end of the talk, regarding any personal enquiries about their own university choices.  Emily also then stayed and offered some 1 to 1 personal support for students UCAS personal statements.  This was really well received by our Year 13 students.  We thank Emily for her talk and look forward to working with her again next year.
