I joined the Governing Body of Lady Manners School in January 2003 as a Foundation Governor and enjoy it immensely.
I live in Tideswell with my husband, Phil, and have three daughters. All three girls have been to Lady Manners School and thoroughly enjoyed their time at school from both an academic and social point of view. It has served them well for a good solid start in adult life.
Having had children at school gives great insight and helps in many ways with the tasks undertaken by a governor.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Law and have been a practising solicitor since 1984. I am a consultant with a local firm Thorneycroft Solicitors, based at Whaley Bridge office, serving the High Peak, Hope Valley and Derbyshire Dales. I believe that my professional experience is of assistance to the position of Governor.
I am proud to be involved in the Governing Body of the school and hope that my input is of benefit to all concerned.
